Ding Ding TV Report – Mayor Raj Salwan’s Swearing-In Ceremony
On Sunday January 12th, Raj Salwan was sworn in as the new Mayor of Fremont.
Raj Salwan grew up in Fremont and is proud to call it home. He has been serving in city government in various capacities for over 18 years including as a Human Relations Commissioner, Planning Commissioner, Councilmember, and as two-time Vice Mayor of Fremont. Raj Salwan is an Alternate on the Alameda County Transportation Commission, and has served in every capacity in local commissions, non-profit boards, and in regional bodies. He is a proud contributor to the success of Fremont schools in his previous role as a subcommittee member of the joint City Council-School District Liaison Committee.
In addition to his work in public service, Raj Salwan has actively engaged with community organizations and served on various boards and committees. He believes in the power of collaboration and has fostered partnerships to implement innovative solutions for community development.
