A message from Diana Ding
Over the weekend I canvassed for Congressional Candidate Evan Low.
Starting from the Democratic campaign headquarters in Mountain View, I went door-to-door in the designated area to canvass for more than 50 households.
Nearly half of the voters did not know Evan Low, but after my introduction, they said they were willing to learn about him and consider voting for him. Three people clearly stated that they would not vote for Evan, and six households said that they had already mailed in their votes and chose Evan Low.
During more than three hours of walking and knocking on doors, I was almost sprained by a dog barking with the door open; I was scolded rudely for disturbing a family’s meal because I did not notice the “No Soliciting Sign” at the door; someone gave me a bottle of water; and someone who voted for Evan thanked me… The sun was scorching, and I was getting more and more tired and hungry, but nothing could stop me until I finished delivering the flyers in my hand.
Dear Chinese friends! On-site voting has begun at various polling stations.
From October 26 to November 5, no matter which party you support, as long as you are a citizen, you should exercise your civil rights and cast your vote.
Only by voting can you elect your favorite elected officials, only by voting can you repeal the bills you think are bad, and only by voting can you change the American community, safeguard our interests, and protect the safety of you and your family.
Let us unite the Chinese community and cheer together! Vote! Vote! Vote!
