Registrar Of Voters Welcomes Media & General Public To October 16, 2024 Media Day

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CALIF. – Members of the media and public are invited to attend the County of Santa Clara Registrar of Voters’ (ROV) Media Day event on Wednesday, October 16th. The event will be held to inform the media, as well as voters about what to expect in the November Presidential General Election, how to vote at a Vote Center, voting options, and what measures are in place to ensure a safe and secure election.

“Our mission is to ensure fair, inclusive, accurate and transparent elections for our voters,” said Matt Moreles, Acting Registrar of Voters. “We are especially proud of our efforts to make voting more accessible than ever before.”

A mock Vote Center will be set up inside the office atrium and a live demonstration will be held to highlight accessible services for seniors, voters with disabilities, and voters who primarily speak a language other than English. An ASL interpreter will also be present to assist those who are deaf and hard of hearing.

Attendees can tour the office to observe various election processes, explore large-scale county maps, or visit the information table to learn about the ROV’s “Go Green” and “Future Voter” initiatives.

Date: Wednesday, October 16th
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Location: Registrar of Voters’ Office – Atrium
