Ding Ding TV Report – Community Leaders Support Gilbert Wong for Cupertino City Council
On July 30th, community leaders gathered to show their support for Gilbert Wong who is running for the Cupertino City Council.
Gilbert is the son of immigrants from China and Hong Kong. Born, raised, and educated in Silicon Valley, he watched the valley grow from orchards to high tech companies. As a small business owner with a background in business management and financial real estate, Gilbert has been contributing his knowledge as a two-term Mayor (2 years), Councilmember (9 years), and Planning Commissioner (6 years) in Cupertino. Gilbert has served on the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors (6 years) and is currently on the Cupertino Library Foundation Board of Directors (4 years) and the Cupertino-Copertino Sister City Committee (10 years).
Gilbert aims to bring back sensible governance to Cupertino City Council and focus on building affordable housing, improving public safety, instilling fiscal responsibility, creating safer streets, and expanding public trials.
