Chinese community supports Evan Low for Congress 【硅谷看世界】千载难逢,华人团结支持罗达伦进国会
For the latest edition of Innovation Dialog, Diana Ding spoke to Dr. Hsing Kung and Dr. Albert Wang about Evan Low, his Congressional race, and why the Chinese community is supporting Evan Low for Congress.
Dr. Hsing Kung is the Managing Partner of Acorn Campus Ventures, a technology venture fund and incubator in Silicon Valley and East Asia.
Dr. Albert Wang is the Chair of The API Coalition.
On Wednesday, May 1st., Evan Low secured second place in the primary election for California’s 16th Congressional District after a recount. Low beat his opponent, the Santa Clara County Supervisor Joe Simitian, by five votes. Low will face former San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo in the general election in November to replace Democratic Rep. Anna Eshoo as the congressional representative for California’s 16th district.
Diana Ding spoke to Dr. Hsing Kung and Dr. Albert Wang about the recount that took place and about the importance of why the Chinese community needs to support Evan Low for Congress. It would mean the community would have representatives speaking for them and protecting their rights on the Congressional level.
The guests also spoke about Evan Low’s accomplishments and what it would mean for the Chinese community if he were elected to Congress.
