Northern California Chinese Culture Athletic Federation Sports Tournament

北加州华体会“新历程”开始了！ 今天（8月12日）上午，第二十一届北加州华人文化体育协会“守望初心、再启新程”运动大会在旧金山湾区红木城举行。中国驻旧金山总领馆总领事张建敏，美国著名侨领方李邦琴等嘉宾出席大会并致辞，美国知名主持人、丁丁电视创办人丁维平主持运动大会开幕式。

北加州華人文化體育協會執行長李競芬在致詞中講到，華體會舉辦的運動大會，是中國大陸、台灣、香港之外最大規模的華人運動會。「體現了奧林匹克精神、團結和平、友誼進步。」

中國駐舊金山總領事張建敏發表了講話。他表示第一次參加華體會感到非常高興，「體育運動的魅力和美好讓不同族裔、不同文化背景的人相聚一起，它打破障礙、超越差異，使社會更加包容和諧。這也是這個運動會廣受歡迎、越辦越好的原因。」

On August 12th, the 21st Northern California Chinese Culture and Athletic Federation Sport Tournament “Keep the Heart, Start a New Journey” was held in Redwood City, San Francisco Bay Area.

Zhang Jianmin, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco, Li Bangqin, a famous American overseas Chinese consul, and other guests attended the event and delivered speeches. Ding Weiping Ding (CEO and Founder of Ding Ding TV and Silicon Valley Community Media) presided over the opening ceremony of the sports tournament.

Li Jingfen, executive director of the Northern California Chinese Culture and Athletic Federation, said in his speech that the sports tournament held by the Chinese Association is the largest Chinese sports meeting outside of mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. “It embodies the Olympic spirit, unity and peace, friendship and progress.”

Zhang Jianmin, Chinese Consul General in San Francisco, delivered a speech. He said that he was very happy to participate in the Chinese Games for the first time. “The charm and beauty of sports bring people of different ethnicities and different cultural backgrounds together. It breaks down barriers, transcends differences, and makes society more inclusive and harmonious. This is what this sports meeting is about. The reason why it is popular and getting better and better.”
