Steven Alan Yamaguma will be remembered forever
Steven Alan Yamaguma passed away on March 5th, 2023. Our sincerest condolences to his family and friends. He will be forever missed.
Steven served as the Co-Chair of the Silicon Valley Asian Pacific FilmFest and participated as a judge in “In Time of Covid 19” Video competition.

Steven Yamaguma was a Founder, Creative Director, Principal Designer for Design2Market, a branding,marketing, design firm developing creative marketing communications, branding, and advertising campaigns for technology companies, government, and education. His clients included Intel, IBM, Applied Materials, HP, NEC, IEEE, World PC Expo, JETRO, California Energy Commission, City of San Francisco, City of San Jose, City College of San Francisco, San Jose Evergreen College District and West Valley Mission College District.
Steven managed tradeshow and event activities and promotions for product launches and new market entry campaigns and has garnered numerous awards for his achievements.
His commitment to the community included volunteer work for organizations including Silicon CleanTech Open, Northern California Business Marketing Association, Yu-Ai Kai, and serving on boards of the San Jose JACL, Contemporary Asian Theatre Scene, Arts Council Silicon Valley, and the Silicon Valley Charity Ball Foundation. He produced or co-produced events including the Ao Dai Festival, One Year After – a benefit concert for the children of Tohoku, Bayanihan Typhoon Relief Concert, Tohoku Insights: Live Conversations with Japan, and A Salute to Mike: celebration honoring former Congressman Mike Honda.
