“All of Us Belong Right Here” at Citizens for Better Community’s 31st Annual Spring Celebration

On April 29th, Citizens for Better Community hosted its 31st Annual Spring Celebration in Fremont.

Citizens for Better Community (CBC) is a non-profit community service organization founded in 1992 and is located in Fremont, California. CBC has hundreds of members in the Bay Area. CBC creates and administers programs in the areas of education, and civic participation including voter education and voter registration. For high school and college students, CBC also provides scholarship programs, internship programs, and youth leadership education programs in conjunction with Toastmasters.

At the Award Ceremony, Citizens for Better Community invited us to perform “All of Us Belong Right Here” on stage and played the video. The music video “All of Us Belong Right Here” launched as a part of the Civic Leadership Forum Silicon Valley. The music video is a collaborative community effort. Over 60 people participated in the making of the video, and 20 elected officials made an appearance. Joel Wong (the chair of National Asian Americans United) composed the lyrics and music. Ding Ding TV produced the video.

Yang Shao, Fremont City’s Councilmember received the 2022 CBC Distinguished Community Service Award, and Yonggang Zhang received the 2022 CBC Volunteer of the Year Award.
