2022 marks the 25th year anniversary for Shin Shin Educational Foundation (SSEF). Over the past 25 years, Shin Shin Education Foundation has been persistently focused on providing educational projects for elementary schools located in the remote and despondent areas of China.
In 2021, despite the overhanging Covid pandemic, Shin Shin successfully executed our “long-term, sustainable, love and caring” vision to address the educational needs of those rural schools across 125 school in 21 provinces in China. We implemented 18 educational and training programs directly benefiting over 120,000 children and over 3,000 teachers in rural schools.
We were able to achieve all of this because of your support and generosity.
In 2022, we will continue supporting rural education by leveraging our unique position in Silicon Valley to introduce and implement STEAM programs and project based learning model to students. We also have several target programs including:
1) donation of 36 drinking water systems;
2) donation of 30 multimedia classroom instruction systems along with 70 computers for teachers;
3) building 7 reading rooms and 60 reading corners; donation of 15,000 books for students and 1,600 books for teachers;
4) providing online and summer training programs for teachers and school principals;
5) enriching students’ extracurricular activities by promoting reading, art and programming courses and more.
Our projects aim to continuously improve the overall education quality for our rural schools, promote much needed reading, literacy and STEAM activities among the students, and provide quality professional development and training for the teachers.
As a non-profit organization, we need your support to continue working on our projects.
In honor of our 25th anniversary in 2022, we will be holding our very first Tai Shan Cup Golf Tournament at Bay View Golf Club, 1500 Country Club Drive, Milpitas on March 6. All proceeds will be donated to Shin Shin. General admission is $200 per person. Sponsorship for the Sign of Green is available at $500 per sign. For donations of $10,000 and above to the tournament, you will also receive a VIP Donor award cup.
