Liyan Zhao

Chair of Partners, Youth ” I Love My Community” Video News Competition

Liyan Zhao is a software engineer in government agency. She is a mom of 4. She has been in public service areas for more than 15 years. Her community service involvement including serving on boards of Fremont Union High School Foundation, Asian American Parents Association, and Silicon Valley Community United. She was selected as School Site Council for Lynbrook high in 2018.

She is also an active writer and the founder of the popular Wechat blog account “Raising kids in North America”. She has written more than 100 articles to share my experience in raising kids from different perspectives. She is also the co-author of two books which have been published by Tsinghua University.

She loves reading, hiking and drawing in her spare time.
