Why so many data centers in Silicon Valley? Who owns this? What’s driving their business? How do they benefit small businesses?
Silicon Valley Central Chamber, E.D.C International, and Silicon Valley Innovation Channel-Ding Ding TV hosted the Silicon Valley business forum at Ding Ding TV on Dec. 5th. The speaker was Jerry Inguagiato, the senior vice present of CBRE. During his presentation, he mentioned that Silicon Valley is the third biggest data center market due to the density of high tech companies. In today’s age of information, we look for more connections within our collogues, loved ones, and social groups. This naturally generates more data as we move on, and there is no sign of slowing down as far as we can see. To match the demand for data, more and more data centers are being built, this means competing for resources such as real estate in the Bay area.
