2019 National Civic Leadership Forum Anthony Ng Ending Speech
Following the leadership of CLUSA (Civic Leadership USA) and APAPA (Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affair), up to 50 Asian American and Pacific Islander Organizations are convening in Washington DC on September 15 -18, 2019. The goal of the Forum is to galvanize up to 150 AAPI civic leaders from all over the US to discuss and learn how to “Empower Asian American and Pacific Islanders for 2020”.
Over 50 well established AAPI organizations are invited and many have already committed to attend, including OCA, C-100, NFIA, NaFFA, GOPIO, AIA, APIAVote, HAF, AAJC, APAICS, JACL, AAUC, 80-20 United………
Highlights of this event include:
- Opportunities to mingle with other AAPI leaders from around the country
- Gaining insights to elected and appointed political or non-political leadership positions and learn best practices
- Receive training for an effective congressional visit
- Listening to keynotes from Senators Hirono, Duckworth and Secretary Elaine Chao and other congressional and civic leaders
- Meeting top-level invited Congressional & White House members: Speaker Nancy Pelosi, US Senator Mitch McConnell, US Rep. Lloyd Doggert, US Rep. Judy Chu, etc.
