Leslie Yuen is the Founder and CEO of GTO, headquartered in Silicon Valley. GTO specializes in globalization training and consulting tailored for small businesses, entrepreneurs and Chinese enterprises going global from China to the USA. Leslie is also a co-producer of Battle Silicon, a new reality TV series for technology startup in the Silicon Valley.
Leslie has more than two decades of business experience in globalization marketing and sales management with Eastman Kodak Company, Lionbridge Technologies (Nasdaq: LIOX) and VanceInfo (Nasdaq:PACT). They were the top influencers in their industries during Leslie’s tenure. A Hong Kong native, Leslie has deep understanding of both Western and Asian cultures. He not only pioneered the entrance of Western technologies to China but also, driven by his passion, built a solid record in consulting and information technology services in the USA.
In 2013, Leslie serves as Advisor at Hua Yuan Science and Technology Association (HYSTA), a fourteen-year old Silicon Valley-based nonprofit organization that bridges opportunities and mentors business endeavors between the US and China. In 2012, Leslie was the Executive Director where he played a key role in branding and promoting HYSTA. For examples, Leslie program-chaired a very successful Annual Conference, and he also fostered the partnership with 21st Century Media, elevating HYSTA to become the sole strategic partner in the USA for the Top-Ten Global Chinese Business Leader Award Ceremony in Beijing. From 2009 up to 2011, Leslie led various programs. During his tenure, Leslie co-founded China Global Services Alliance, comprised of members from top-tier China and US-based IT consulting and service providers. Within 12 months, two member companies Isoftstone (Nasdaq:IIS) and Hisoft (Nasdaq:HSFT) went IPO in the USA.
Leslie believes in “do well and do good”, a frequent speaker in various Universities: Stanford, UC Berkeley, University of San Francisco and the University of Hong Kong. Leslie supports the Ferrari Owner’s Group Charitable Foundation, raising money for the education of low-income families in San Francisco. Several influential media have interviewed him on globalization related topics.
