Ten years of Tai Chi

十二年前跟朋友成立IGG,创业之初非常艰难,每天都工作到凌晨三四点,外加Start up 来自各方面的精神压力,开始那两年,天天腰酸背痛,每周都要去找人推拿按摩一两次。

机缘巧合,遇到了彭文师父,开始习练赵堡太极拳,两个月下来,居然腰不酸,背也不痛了!睡眠质量大幅改善,人变得精神矍铄。感觉不错就坚持了下来,一转眼,十年了!

12 years ago, I started a very small company, IGG. Startup life was tough, we had a lot of pressure from the market, to survive was difficult! We had to work long of hours

almost every single day. As a result, neck pain and back pain! To relieve, I had to go to acupuncture and a massage every week, yet still getting worse.

In 2008, luckily, I met Master Peng, and decided to give Tai Chi a try! In two months, NO MORE neck pain, NO MORE back pain, a sleeping quality greatly improved, feeling SHARP!

I truly enjoyed this healthy feeling, therefore, continued to practice Tai Chi for the past 10 years with Master Peng.

 

很多人问我同一个问题,你练了十年太极,散打的挑战你,敢打吗?老北京俗话说得好,板砖儿破太极!不用学散打,捡个板砖就能追得我满城跑。但要正式挑战,我敢接!约三

十年后打!太极是内家修为,修身养性,强心健体。延续当前的训练,相信未来三十年,我的精力和体力都能保持非常好的竞技状态。呵呵,这有点司马懿的打法,这老兄靠的就

是身体持续好,历经曹操、曹丕、曹叡、曹芳四代君主,晚年发动高平陵之变,夺取曹魏政权,以晋代魏。

Many people asked me a question: 10 years of practicing Tai Chi, can you fight? My answer would be, if you want to fight me, come back in 30 years! Tai Chi focuses on

building internal power,  which gets stronger with time. The reason I practice Tai Chi is because I wish I will be healthy, strong and in great shape, for the next 50 years to come!

 

练了十年内功,说实话我还没有悟出如何运气行走于周身经络之中,也没能打通任督二脉。但身体有很大收获:大腿变得非常强壮,因为太极总是游走于马步与弓步之间。腿强则

心强,心强则五脏强!更关键是这项运动能够伴随我未来五十年。其实我更爱篮球,以前还是国家二级运动员,但这项运动,20岁达到巅峰之后,状态就一直走下坡,30岁时已

经开始受伤病困扰,再过五十年,不要说能够健步如飞扣篮了,能够不坐轮椅就不错了!十年太极下来,身体没有伤痛,并且处在不错的竞技状态,感觉非常满意!

There are stories that say if you practice Tai Chi, you will be able to control your internal power, guide it to circulate within your Meridian and grant you a special power.

10 years of practice, yet I do NOT have that special power! However, as a result, I got super strong legs and a strong heart! Because when you practice Tai Chi, you constantly

shifting back and forth, between horse stance, and Bow stance. It increases your blood circulation, your heart rate, and improves your metabolism.

Among all the sports I played, I liked basketball the most, when I was 20, I was among the top players in Beijing. However, it was all downhill ever since. By the age of 30, I had

many injuries. I hate to leave, but I know it’s time to move on! 10 years of Tai Chi, healed most of my injuries. I can run, I can jump, I can kick high in the air!

 

十年太极,潜移默化地对我的人生观也有很大的改变。练太极前,我跟普通年轻人一样,是很浮躁的。当时做企业的想法:顽命拼三年,然后借助资本市场的推动,迅速上市,迅

速套现,五年退休。确实很多上市公司就是这样做的,迅速上市,迅速割韭菜,迅速消亡。十年太极,给我带来最重要的价值是心态的转变:不再浮躁,更加务实,更加沉稳。这

样我们能够看得更远,更深刻地看到自身当前的价值及未来的潜力。我会更加关注如何实现未来二十年三十年持续性增长,而非短暂的脉冲式的昙花一现。这正是在追寻太极的精

髓:延绵不断,永无止境。十年太极,十年修为,公司也发展成为了一家20亿美金市值的企业。而太极带给我的人生及企业管理的理念,也得到了全球性的普遍认可,IGG并被

福布斯Forbes评选为2018最具投资价值企业。由衷感谢彭文师父!亦师亦友!

 

10 years of Tai Chi, not only improved my health but also, changed my personality. Prior to Tai Chi, like most young men, I was very impulsive. Even with my startup

company, my original plan was to grow as quick as possible, and quickly taking it public, and quickly cash out and retire in 5 years! Tai Chi change my perspective. Tai Chi can

not give you a spike in power in a short period of time, however, it builds an internal power and continuously grows over the next thirty or forty years to come. This is the

mentality you need to run a successful company or manage a successful investment. 10 years later, my little startup, IGG has become a two-billion-dollar company. With this Tai

Chi mentality, IGG has been recognized by Forbes as the Best Billion Dollar Company of 2018!
